Powder

Vihtavuori n320

The N320, formerly known as 3N22, is a fast burning, porous handgun powder. N320 is one of our most popular handgun powders and can be used for a wide range of pistol calibers from .32 to .45. It is most commonly used by sport and hobby shooters such as Cowboy Action shooters, but as a very reliable gun powder it is also suitable for authority applications. The powder type is tubular, with grain dimensions 1,1 mm x 0,8 mm (length x diameter), and as all our reloading powders it includes the added decoppering agent.

Vihtavuori 3n38

Vihtavuori’s 3N38 powder is designed especially for competitive handgun shooting with high-velocity loads in 9 mm and .40 S&W cartridges. It’s a single-based, tubular powder type, and one of our small granule powders (0,6 mm length x 0,6 mm diameter). The 3N38 is a popular powder for practical shooting especially among IPSC and USPSA shooters. A relatively slow-burning powder, 3N38 is a perfect choice for making Major loads with good accuracy and clean-burning characteristics, for which Vihtavuori is renowned.

3N38 is a slow-burning powder. The low-enough burning speed means I can handload using large powder amounts while pressure stays at an acceptable level. A large amount of powder guarantees sufficient power and produces the right amount of combustion gases to make the combination work optimally.

Vihtavuori 3n37

Vihtavuori’s 3N37 handgun powder was originally developed for .22 rimfire cartridges, but has since proven to be very versatile and desirable within all competitive handgun shooting disciplines.

The 3N37 is tubular, porous powder type with grain dimensions of 0,6 mm length and 0,6 mm diameter. The symmetrical grain size makes metering a breeze in powder measures. The burning rate of the 3N37 is close to N350 and on the medium scale of our handgun powders.

This is an excellent powder for 9 mm major loads for IPSC open competitions and it’s very popular in USPSA and IPSC practical pistol shooting disciplines. In addition to practical shooting, 3N37 is also widely used as a submachine gun powder. As all of our powders, 3N37 offers consistent, extreme precision, with clean burning – and that is why it is used by the best shooters in the world.

Hodgdon Titegroup

As the name implies, this spherical propellant was designed for accuracy. Titegroup’s unique design provides flawless ignition with all types of primers, including lead-free versions.

Unlike pistol powders of the past, powder position in large cases (45 Colt, 357 Magnum and others) has virtually no effect on velocity and performance. Cowboy Action, Bullseye and Combat Shooters should love this one!

Titegroup has it all - low charge weight, burns clean, mild muzzle report and superb, uniform ballistics.

Vihtavuori n350

Vihtavuori N350 is the slowest in the N300 series of handgun powders. It is ideal for very heavy loadings and top velocities and energies for a broad range of pistol and revolver cartridges. The grain size (1,0 mm length and 0,8 mm diameter) is exactly the same than N320, N330 and N340; it is the porosity of the powder that makes all the difference in burning characteristics. N350 is very well suited to loading powerful rounds for example in calibers 9 mm Luger, 10 mm AUTO and .45 ACP. With the slow burning speed, it is ideal for very heavy and top end velocities and energies for a broad range of pistol and revolver cartridges. N350 is widely used in pistol shooting and especially in practical shooting.

Winchester 231

Winchester 231 is a ball powder, one of the most popular handgun propellants in history. It is ideally suited to 38 Special, 45 Auto, and 9mm standard loads. Consistency, clean burning, low flash, and a broad range of applications make this powder a choice for any handgun cartridge loader.
